About
What Publisher Software is, and the family it belongs to.
Publisher Software is one of a family of distinct, owned school-software products, built on one shared engine and operated by Stanley Studios. It has its own name, its own site and its own purpose; what it shares with the rest of the family is the engine underneath it and the operator behind it.
One engine, many front doors
Stanley Studios does not build each product from scratch. Each one is one engine, reused with a different configuration and domain. Yearbooks, picture day, school records, publications, communications, and commerce are not separate products assembled into a suite — they are one substrate with many front doors. Publisher Software is one of those doors.
What “one engine” means in practice
The family is written in one monorepo, on one roster, behind walls that live in the database rather than in application code. A school is the same school in every door it walks through, a person is the same person, and the wall that keeps one school’s records away from another is enforced a layer below the screens rather than by code a new feature can forget.
The wider family
The family is not listed here as a roll call of domain names, because the list is long and the names are the least useful part of it. If you want to know whether another product in the family fits something you are doing, ask Stanley Studios directly and a real person reads it and answers plainly.
Who operates it
Publisher Software is operated by Stanley Studios, the operator of record and the party responsible for the product and for the school data it holds. The commitments that bind Publisher Software are written out in full on its privacy page.
